My baby!

October 31, 2008

Well Mike and I decided that Micah’s hair just didn’t look good so we took the shaver to his head!  It started out that we were just going to touch up the sides and make it look a little better but, well ……..  Look below and you will see how it ended up!  My poor baby 🙂  Sorry about the picture quality.  I will try to take better pictures later.

NICU

October 28, 2008

Here are Caleb’s Pictures after birth and in the NICU! Caleb was 4 lbs 6oz at birth and he was 4lbs 2oz when we took him home.  He was born at 35 weeks.  He was in the hospital for 3 days with me and then the NICU for 3 more days alone.

Here are some pictures of Micah in the NICU!  Micah was 4lbs 8oz at birth and 4 lbs 10oz when we brought him home.  He was born at 33 weeks.  He was in the NICU for 16 days.

My Boys

October 28, 2008

Okay it is time for the 5 month pictures.  I will post Micah’s new pictures as well as the old pictures of Caleb when he was 5 months.  Everyone says that the boys look so much alike but when you compare them at the same age I don’t think they look as much alike.

I cut it!

October 27, 2008

Micah’s hair was getting so long in the front that it was in his eyes.  So I got brave and just cut it right across the front.  It doesn’t look so great now but at least it isn’t in his eyes anymore!  He also has a bald head in one spot on the side.  Here are the before and after pictures.

Are you content?

October 17, 2008

One thing really stuck with me that the speaker of bible study said a few weeks and I thought I would share!

All the people of the world live in one of two tents.

1.  Discontentment

2.  Contentment

Lord,

I want be content in You!  I want to be satisfied with the things that you have blessed me with.  I do not want to crave the things of this world.  I know that at any moment you can take everything I have away.  I want to come to the place where you alone are enough to satisfy me.  Thank you father for the many blessings you have provided for me and my family.  We are rich according to most of the world and those blessings do not go unnoticed.  I praise your name because you are the Almighty Everlasting Father!

Amen

Campaign vandalism!

October 14, 2008

I was soooooooooo upset this morning when I went outside to find my campaign sign ripped up and on the ground.  I was even more upset to see that they had been vandalised all over our neighborhood.  I don’t often get angry but this caused me a lot of anger.  Of course I gathered the pieces and came right inside to fix my sign.  I took my packing tape and put it all back together and stuck it back on the lawn.  Then I came inside and filed a police report!!!!  I remember praying “God why am I so upset about this?”  Then I just felt like God was saying, “It is in my hands.  On Judgement day they will have to answer to me.”  I think I am upset because this election is so important to our nation and some of the issues will affect my children.  Our nation is suffering a “crisis” and unless we as Christians take a moral stand and really fall on our knees in prayer, things are only going to get worse.

Did you know that 82% of Christians never open the bible between Sundays?

Did you know that 94% of parents do no Christian training between Sundays?

We as parents need to be teaching our children God’s word on a daily basis.  We need to be good examples to them daily as we read the word, talk about the Lord, use teachable moments, and show Jesus through the way we talk and act.  The church can not do it alone on Sunday mornings for 1 hour.  I have been working on these things lately in my own house and I see a difference already in the heart of my Children.  Satan is really attacking our families!  Please stand in prayer with me over the elections and for all of our families who are struggling to hold up good morals and Christian values in a sinful world.

Twin Friends!

October 14, 2008

My friend Amber and I always seem to dress alike.  It is so funny because we will show up at bible study, out to dinner, or just to a swim party (like in the picture below) dressed the same.  We crack up each time it happens.  I guess we both dress kind of plain and need to expand our wardrobes!

Train

October 14, 2008

This past weekend my parents took the kids to a Pumpkin Patch in Reedley.  They have a small train that people can ride on.  This particular day they had several trains there and since Caleb loves trains they decided to go.  My mom said that they had a blast!
